Accessing course materials<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Materials may be published as PDF files, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, videos, web links, folders or pages in Moodle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Open the online classroom for the course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Find the relevant topic, section or week.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Click the name of the material.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The material opens in your browser or is downloaded to your computer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Downloading materials<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • If the document opens in the browser, look for the download icon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Click Download<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      • Choose the folder where you want to save the file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • After the download, open the file from the Downloads folder or from the folder you chose.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Tip:<\/strong> Save materials in tidy folders organized by course. That way you will find them more easily later.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

        Submitting a homework or seminar assignment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        An assignment in Moodle is usually marked with an icon and the activity title. Always read the full instructions before you submit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        • Open the online classroom for the course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Find the assignment submission box<\/strong> and click it<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          • Read the instructions, the due date, the allowed file types<\/strong> and the maximum file size<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Click Add submission<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            • Drag the file into the marked area or click the add file icon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Select the file on your computer and upload it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Click Save changes<\/strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              • If an additional Submit assignment<\/strong> button<\/strong> appears, click it and confirm the submission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                Very important:<\/strong> An uploaded file is not always finally submitted. Check the submission status. As a rule it should say Submitted for grading or similar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

                Checking your submission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
                  \n
                • Check that the correct file name is shown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • Check the submission time and the submission status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • If possible, open the uploaded file and check that it is the right one.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                • If resubmission is allowed, you can replace the file before the deadline expires.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  If the deadline passes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  After the deadline, Moodle may block the submission or mark it as late. In that case, contact the course instructor. Do not send the assignment by e-mail unless the instructor expressly allows it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
