You can add emojis, stickers, and other reactions to messages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Meetings from anywhere:<\/strong> you can schedule a meeting in Outlook or start one directly from a group chat. Participants can join from different locations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A productivity hub:<\/strong> Teams connects Microsoft 365 apps such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Planner, OneNote, and SharePoint. This lets you collaborate on documents without constantly switching between apps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who can use Teams?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Microsoft Teams is available to all lecturers, employees and students of Alma Mater. You can use it to chat, join teams and collaborate on your work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-warning is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> In messages and meetings, do not disclose personal data in breach of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other data protection rules.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Downloading and installing the app<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can use Teams as a desktop app, as a mobile app, or in a web browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Windows:<\/strong> install the Microsoft Teams desktop app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mac:<\/strong> install the macOS app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mobile devices:<\/strong> install the iOS or Android app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chromebook:<\/strong> you can use the web version of Teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recommend the desktop app, because it is usually more stable and offers all features. You can download it from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-teams\/download-app\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Microsoft&#8217;s Teams download page<\/a>. The web version is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/teams.microsoft.com\/v2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">teams.microsoft.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Signing in to Microsoft Teams<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Starting the app<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On Windows, click Start and select Microsoft Teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On macOS, open the Applications folder and click Microsoft Teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On a phone or tablet, tap the Teams icon.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-note is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> The appearance of individual buttons may differ slightly depending on the version of the Teams app and the device you use.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <strong>Sign in<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your Alma Mater account (Microsoft 365) and password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are asked to choose an organisation or an account, select <strong>Work or school account<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If required, confirm the sign-in with multi-factor authentication (MFA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-screenshot\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"538\" src=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/teams-namestitev-01.png\" alt=\"Starting the app\" class=\"wp-image-6203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/teams-namestitev-01.png 433w, https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/teams-namestitev-01-241x300.png 241w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 433px) 100vw, 433px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-tip is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recommendation:<\/strong> Use your Alma Mater account, not a personal Microsoft account.
