{"id":6768,"date":"2026-09-29T20:46:21","date_gmt":"2026-09-29T20:46:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/en\/for-students\/organisation\/online-and-hybrid-lectures-in-teams-students\/"},"modified":"2026-10-01T04:50:53","modified_gmt":"2026-10-01T04:50:53","slug":"online-and-hybrid-lectures-in-teams-students","status":"publish","type":"it-navodilo","link":"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/en\/for-students\/organisation\/online-and-hybrid-lectures-in-teams-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Online and hybrid lectures in Teams"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In brief<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Online and hybrid lectures take place in Microsoft Teams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The link to the meeting is only in the Wise Timetable (the <strong>Join online<\/strong> button) and in the Studo app; it is not in the Teams or Outlook calendar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sign in to Teams with your Alma Mater student account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lectures are recorded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-note is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is new from September 21, 2026:<\/strong> online and hybrid lectures, seminar exercises, consultations, office hours and exam preparation sessions take place in Teams and no longer in Zoom, and you will find the link to the meeting in the new web timetable.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where to find the link<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-step is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Open the timetable through VIS.<\/strong> On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.almamater.si\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">almamater.si<\/a> click the <strong>VIS<\/strong> banner, sign in with your Alma Mater identity and select <strong>TIMETABLE<\/strong> and then <strong>TIMETABLES<\/strong>. The links to meetings are in the timetable you reach by this route. On it, click <strong>Join online<\/strong>, or copy the link to the meeting with the adjacent <strong>Copy<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-screenshot\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/wtt-04-dogodek-en.png\" alt=\"Activity window with the Join online button\" class=\"wp-image-6752\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Join online<\/strong> button only tells you that the activity has a link to a meeting; for now, the timetable does not say whether the delivery is online or hybrid. If you are not sure whether to attend the lecture in the lecture room or remotely, ask your lecturer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only some types of activity get a link:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>With a link:<\/strong> lecture, seminar exercises, exam, colloquium, consultations, office hours and exam preparation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Without a link:<\/strong> laboratory, clinical, practical and field exercises, practical exam, independent work and other.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On your phone, open the Studo app and go to its Calendar section; the link to the meeting is with the activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to join<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-step is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Open the link.<\/strong> On a computer, join the meeting in the Edge or Chrome browser or in the Teams desktop app. On a phone, only the Teams app works, because the mobile browser does not support meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-screenshot\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1020\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teams-01-pred-vstopom-en.png\" alt=\"Screen before joining a meeting in the browser\" class=\"wp-image-6755\" srcset=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teams-01-pred-vstopom-en.png 1020w, https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teams-01-pred-vstopom-en-300x174.png 300w, https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teams-01-pred-vstopom-en-768x444.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1020px) 100vw, 1020px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-step is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Enter the meeting.<\/strong> If you are signed in with your Alma Mater student account, you enter directly. You scan the code with the Studo app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With hybrid delivery, the lecturer does not share the QR code in the video conference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With online delivery, the lecturer may show the QR code on the shared screen; if they do not, attendance is recorded from the Teams attendance report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-warning is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Even if<\/strong> an activity with in-person delivery has a <strong>Join online<\/strong> button, that does not mean you can attend remotely: with in-person delivery and with hybrid delivery, attendance counts only in the lecture room.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you could not record your attendance, submit an attendance recognition request following the guide <a href=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/en\/for-students\/applications\/instructions-attendance-recognition-request\/\">Instructions for attendance recognition request and forms<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"posnetki\">Recordings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-step is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recording starts automatically.<\/strong> Teams notifies all participants when the recording starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-screenshot\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"920\" height=\"240\" src=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teams-04-snemanje-en.png\" alt=\"Notice that recording has started in a Teams meeting\" class=\"wp-image-6764\" srcset=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teams-04-snemanje-en.png 920w, https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teams-04-snemanje-en-300x78.png 300w, https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/teams-04-snemanje-en-768x200.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 920px) 100vw, 920px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The recording captures audio, video and the shared screen. If you do not want to appear in the recording, keep your camera and microphone off.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The technician publishes the recording in the subject&#8217;s e-Classroom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where the recordings are, how to open them and how long they are available is described in the guide <a href=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/en\/for-students\/applications\/watching-lecture-recordings-teams-students\/\">Watching lecture recordings (Teams)<\/a>. How Alma Mater handles personal data is set out in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.almamater.si\/en\/terms-of-service\/privacy-policy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">privacy policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where Zoom stays in use<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some activities, for example some online exams, still take place in Zoom. The <strong>Join online<\/strong> button in the timetable always opens the right application. The Zoom instructions are in the article <a href=\"https:\/\/support.almamater.si\/en\/for-students\/organisation\/zoom-video-conferences-students\/\">ZOOM video conferences<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"tezave-in-pomoc\">Troubleshooting and help<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>There is no button.<\/strong> The activity is not online or hybrid, or the link is still being created after a change to the timetable; a new link appears in the timetable within one hour at the latest. If it is still missing after that, contact the Student Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The link does not open or is wrong.<\/strong> Open it again from the timetable and not from a saved copy or an old message; if the meeting still does not open, contact the Student Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>I am waiting in the lobby.<\/strong> You are most likely signed in with another account.
